On Wednesday 24 September 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Jakarta, in collaboration with the Thai Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia and the Directorate General of Immigration of Indonesia, organized a briefing titled “Indonesian Visa and Stay Permits” for the Thai community in Indonesia.
The briefing was delivered by Mr. Wihadi Sutrisno from the Directorate of Visa and Travel Documents, Directorate General of Immigration of Indonesia, who provided detailed information on the application process for visas, the differences between visa categories and their conditions of use, as well as business activities permitted under various types of visas and stay permits. More than 40 members of the Thai community in Indonesia including businesspersons, private-sector employees, entrepreneurs, spouses, and officials from Team Thailand agencies attended the session and exchanged views.
The activity aimed to provide the Thai community in Indonesia with accurate, clear, and official information regarding visas and stay permits directly from the Indonesian authority in charge. Such knowledge-sharing not only helps prevent unintentional violations of immigration rules and reduces potential obstacles when traveling to or residing in Indonesia, but also supports smoother business interactions and promotes sustainable economic cooperation between Thailand and Indonesia.
