Additional Requirements for Non-Indonesian Applicants

  • Applicants from these following countries/territories below will be required to come himself/herself to apply visa application at the Royal Thai Embassy in Jakarta.

 

  • Applicants from South Asian Countries (Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) must provide additional documents as follows;
    1. 3 application forms, 3 photographs and 3 sets of supporting documents
    2. A copy of Temporary Resident Permit (KITAS) or Permanent Resident Permit (KITAP)
    3. Evidence of accommodation in Thailand and travel itinerary
    4. Letter of employment/enrollment from company or university/school (if applicable)
    5. The visa process will take at least 1 week and may take up to 4-6 weeks in case the applicants do not have KITAS or KITAP.
  • Applicants from some African Countries (Algeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, DR Congo, Republic of Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Guinea, Libya, Liberia, Nigeria, São Tomé and Príncipe, Sierra Leone, Somalia, and Sudan)
    1. 3 application forms, 3 photographs and 3 sets of supporting documents
    2. A copy of Temporary Resident Permit (KITAS) or Permanent Resident Permit (KITAP)
    3. Evidence of accommodation in Thailand and travel itinerary
    4. Letter of employment/enrollment from company or university/school (if applicable)
    5. The visa process will take at least 1 week and may take up to 4-6 weeks in case the applicants do not have KITAS or KITAP.
      *Applicants from Nigeria must have KITAS and KITAP and are required to give a “Certificate of Clearance” issued by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency of Nigeria (NDLEA) that has been legalized by Nigeria MFA and the Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja, dated within 6 months
  • Applicants from other African Countries (Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Cape Verde, Chad, Cote d’Ivore, Djibouti, Gambia, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Swaziland, Burkina Faso, Eritrea, Gabon, Comoros, Lesotho, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, and South Sudan)
    1. A copy of Temporary Resident Permit (KITAS) or Permanent Resident Permit (KITAP)

    3. Letter of employment/enrollment from company or university/school (if applicable)

  • Applicants from Middle Eastern Countries (Lebanon, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Yemen)
    1. 3 application forms, 3 photographs and 3 sets of supporting documents
    2. A copy of Temporary Resident Permit (KITAS) or Permanent Resident Permit (KITAP)
    3. Evidence of accommodation in Thailand and travel itinerary
    4. Letter of employment/enrollment from company or university/school (if applicable)
    5. Police Record issued by the Indonesian National Police
    6. The visa process will take at least 1 week and may take up to 4-6 weeks in case the applicants do not have KITAS or KITAP.
  • Applicants from China must provide additional documents as follows;
    1. 4 application forms, 4 photographs and 4 sets of supporting documents
    2. Evidence of accommodation in Thailand and travel itinerary
    3. Letter of employment/enrollment from company or university/school (if applicable)
    4. The visa process will take 1-2 week
  • Applicants from Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and DPRK must apply in person and provide additional documents as follows;
    1. 4 application forms, 4 photographs and 4 sets of supporting documents
    2. Requires a copy of Temporary Resident Permit (KITAS) or Permanent Resident Permit (KITAP)
    3. Evidence of accommodation in Thailand and travel itinerary
    4. Letter of employment/enrollment from company or university/school (if applicable)
    5. Police Record issued by the Indonesian National Police
    6. The visa process will take approximately 4-6 weeks
  • Applicants from the following countries are required to present yellow fever vaccination certificate:
    1. Angola, Argentina, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Colombia, Congo, Congo Republic, Cote d’Ivoire, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, French Guiana, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Guyana, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Suriname, Tanzania, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, and Venezuela

Additional Requirements

  • Nationals of certain countries are required to apply for a visa only at the Royal Thai Embassy or Royal Thai Consulate-General in their home/residence country or at the designated Royal Thai Embassy or Royal Thai Consulate-General. Travellers are advised to contact the nearest Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate-General to find out where they may apply for a visa to Thailand before departure.
