On 2 May 2025, Mr. Prapan Disyatat, Ambassador of Thailand to Indonesia, welcomed Mr. Sugiono, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, during his official visit to Thailand at the invitation of H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, to attend the 10th Meeting of the Joint Commission between Thailand and Indonesia (JC Meeting).
During the visit, the two Foreign Ministers engaged in productive discussions on bilateral matters and co-chaired the 10th JC Meeting. Both sides underscored the importance of promoting cooperation across all aspects of relations, particularly in preventing and combating transnational crime, strengthening economic cooperation amid global uncertainties, and expanding collaboration in education, public health, culture, and the creative industries.
This visit and the convening of the 10th JC Meeting mark a significant milestone as they take place during the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Indonesia in 2025. Both sides agreed that Thailand and Indonesia share a long-standing friendship and is committed to expanding cooperation in strategic areas beneficial to both sides.
