On 18 July 2022, H.E. Mr. Prapan Disyatat, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Indonesia presided over the Conferment Ceremony of the Royal Decoration the “Companion (Fourth Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant” to Mrs. Onny Asri Maryam Almasyhur, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Surabaya at the Royal Thai Embassy, Jakarta. The Ceremony was attended by H.E. Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, Heads of Office in Team Thailand, their spouses and other officials of the Embassy, as well as the President and representatives of Thai Business Club Indonesia (TBCI) and the family members of Mrs.Onny. The Ceremony was followed by a reception in honour of Honorary Consul Onny Asri Maryam Almasyhur.
Mrs. Onny has exemplarily served Thailand as Honorary Consul in Surabaya with respect to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua. For almost two decades, she has dedicated herself to strengthen the close and cordial relations between Thailand and East Java, to protect and promote Thailand’s interests and Thai Nationals in East Java as well as to promote the popularity of Thailand among Indonesians and foreigners in East Java.
