On 22 January 2025, Ambassador Prapan Disyatat presided over Buddhist and celebratory ceremonies in celebration of His Majesty the King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua attaining the same age as His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great (King Rama I). There were 31 participants in attendance, including head of offices under Team Thailand, officials, and staff of the Embassy and Team Thailand as well as their spouses. Ambassador Prapan and the participants also offered alms to the monks to celebrate this auspicious occasion. His Majesty the King reached 26,469 days of age on 14 January 2025, attaining the same age as King Rama I, the founder of the Chakri Dynasty.
