Royal Thai Embassy organising the handover ceremony of Thai-Indonesian Collaborative Paintings in Celebration of 75 Years of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and Indonesia

On 12 June 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy organised a handover ceremony for two collaborative paintings created by Mr. Thaweesak Srithongdee, a Thai street artist, and Mr. Adi Dharma, an Indonesian street artist, in celebration of 75 Years of Diplomatic Relations between the two countries, at the National Gallery of Indonesia. Mrs. Hathaichanok Riddhagni Frumau, Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy, formally presented the commemorative artworks to H.E. Mr. Giring Ganesha Djumaryo, Vice Minister of Culture of Indonesia, who received them on behalf of the Indonesian side.

On this occasion, participants viewed a video presentation of Mr. Thaweesak and an insightful explanation of Mr. Adi on the concept and the creation process behind their creation.

The handover ceremony of the paintings was part of a series of celebratory events commemorating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Indonesia. The event was attended by more than 60 participants, including Mrs. Cynthia Ganesha, spouse of the Vice Minister of Culture, the Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Thailand to ASEAN, the Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Jakarta Office), the President of the Thai Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia,  members of Team Thailand and the Thai Community, as well as representatives from various museums and art galleries in Indonesia such as Tumurun Museum and Museum MACAN.
