On 6 June 2026, Ms. Mintira Pupatharapong, Minister-Counsellor, represented the Royal Thai Embassy to show support for Thailand’s Team eArena, who was competing in the PUBG MOBILE Global Open 2026 during 2 – 7 June 2026 at the Tennis Indoor Stadium Senayan, Jakarta. Team eArena ranked 5th in the tournament and will be the only team from Thailand represented at the Esports World Cup 2026 (EWC 2026) which will be held in Paris, France.
Thailand’s E-Sports and gaming industry is one of the country’s high-potential soft power sectors and a key component of its creative economy. In 2025, the Thai E-Sports industry was valued at over 84 billion baht and has over 30 million players.
