Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Royal Thai Embassy in Jakarta had a working visit to Ternate, North Maluku, to Follow Up for the Project on Children and Youth Development under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn

From 28 to 30 April 2025, Mrs. Hathaichanok Riddhagni Frumau, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy in Jakarta, led a delegation to Ternate, North Maluku. On 28 April, she paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Sherry Tjoanda, Governor of North Maluku Province, to discuss cooperation in education, public health, and tourism. The Governor highlighted the need to reduce educational costs, expand universal health coverage, and develop human resources. Mrs. Frumau affirmed Thailand’s readiness to support capacity building through online training, which was well received.

On 29 April, the delegation visited SD Negeri 50 Kota Ternate, part of the Thai-Indonesian child and youth development project under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn since 2016. Mrs. Frumau and her team discussed ways to improve school facilities for the benefits of the students and teachers with teachers and representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Education in North Maluku Province. Mrs. Frumau also presented donations totaling 14 million rupiah—comprising cash, school supplies, and medical items—supported by Thai companies in Indonesia, including PTTEP, SCG, Permata Bank, and KBank. Additionally, PTTEP donated one laptop to the school for teaching purposes.
