*** Launch of Online E-Visa Application Platform and Termination of Visa Application in Person***
Effective from 26 November 2024, 10.00 hrs. (UTC+7), a foreign national who is currently in Indonesia and wishes to apply for a Thai visa must apply and submit his/her application and supporting documents, and pay the application fee through the new online e-Visa platform at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/. It is no longer required for the applicant to submit his/her passport and original supporting documents in person at the Royal Thai Embassy in Jakarta.
The visa processing time for all types of visas will be 10 working days (NOT including the day of submission). After the e-Visa application has been approved, a confirmation email will be sent to the applicant. The applicant is kindly requested to print a copy of the confirmation email to present to the airline at the port of departure and to Thai immigration officials in Thailand.
Please note that once the visa application is submitted through the e-Visa platform, it is no longer possible to modify personal information. Incorrect information, including typographical error, will result in rejection. Therefore, it is highly recommended to carefully check all the information before the submission.
The Royal Thai Embassy in Jakarta reserves the rights to request additional documents, interviews, or to reject visa applications as deemed necessary, without further explanation.

Travelers entering the Kingdom of Thailand should check the immigration stamps in their passports regarding the exact length of stay to ensure that they do not overstay their visa. Please note that the period of visa validity is different from the period of stay. Visa validity (“Enter before …” on visa) is the period during which a visa can be used to enter Thailand. Period of Stay (“Admitted Until …” stamp in passport) is granted by the Immigration upon arrival at the port of entry and in accordance with the type of visa. - Extension of Stay
Travelers entering the Kingdom of Thailand who have obtained their visa and wish to extend their stay or change their type of visa must file an application for permission at the Office of Immigration Bureau (http://www.immigration.go.th). Change may be granted at the discretion of the Office of Immigration Bureau.
