On Thursday, 24 August 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy, in association with the Office of Thai Defence to Jakarta and SCG Indonesia, conducted a briefing on Emergency and Evacuation Plan for Thai Nationals in Indonesia. The event was attended by approximately 50 participants, who are members of Team Thailand Agencies, SCG Indonesia, Thai Business Club Indonesia (TBCI), Thai Women’s Association in Indonesia (TWA), as well as Thai Student Association in Indonesia.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Prapan Disyatat reiterated the importance of emergency preparedness, proactive measures, and strong partnership among all parties concerned to ensure the successful mission in providing assistance to Thai people when crises, emergencies, and disasters happen. Subsequently, International SOS shared their insights and perspectives on the risk assessment in Indonesia. Adding to the discourse, the 3 Defense Attaches provided briefing on their missions in aiding the evacuation of Thai nationals in such situations. The event was complemented by a presentation by the representative of SCG Indonesia on the Company’s initiatives and approaches to promote preparedness and responsiveness among its staffs.
