On 13 September 2023, Ambassador Prapan Disyatat paid a visit to Batu Ampar International Cargo Port. His Excellency, along with delegates from the Embassy and Honorary Consulate Medan Team, met Mr. Endry Abzan, Mr. Zeri Yusdinata, and Mr. Benny Syahroni, the deputy directors of the Batam Port Authority.
The Batam Port Authority briefed the delegation on the development plans of the Port and other ports in the Riau Islands. The Embassy team also had a tour around the Batu Ampar Port and learned about its business process. Both parties affirmed the wish to enhance the Riau Islands-Thailand relations in maritime as well as trade and investment.
