From 28-30 November 2017, H.E. Mr. Pitchayaphant Charnbhumidol, Ambassador of Thailand to Indonesia visited Riau Islands Province and paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Nurdin Bairun, Governor of Riau Islands Province, H.E. Mr. Muhammad Rudi, Mayor of Batam, as well as met with Mr. Dwi Eko Winaryo, Deputy of Business Facilities at the Batam Indonesia Free Zone Authority; and discussed ways to increase economic cooperation in the areas of agriculture, tourism, and fisheries and how to enhance investment between our private sectors. The Ambassador of Thailand also visited Thai students in Batam to hear about their living situation as well as discuss areas they need support.
