On 31 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Prapan Disyatat, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Indonesia, together with H.E. Ms. Prinat Apirat, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN, attended “KBank Indonesia Your Excellent Partner for Growth: A Gathering to Celebrate a New Chapter,” hosted by Kasikornbank to officially launch Kasikorn Indonesia.
On this occasion, Ambassador Prapan delivered his congratulatory remarks and highlighted the Bank’s role in facilitating trade and investment and serving as a bridge connecting Thai and Indonesian businesses, thereby contributing to the strengthening of bilateral economic relations between Thailand and Indonesia.
Kasikornbank has invested in Bank Maspion since 2017 and became a major shareholder in 2022. In 2025, the Bank subsequently changed its name from PT Bank Maspion Indonesia Tbk to PT Bank Kasikorn Indonesia Tbk (Kasikorn Indonesia) and received the certificate approving the name change from the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) on 4 August 2026.
