On 11 May 2026, H.E. Mr. Prapan Disyatat, Ambassador of Thailand to Indonesia, attended and delivered the opening remark at the 46th Queen Sirikit Cup (Asia-Pacific Amateur Ladies Golf Team Championship) at Sentul Highlands Golf Club, Bogor, Indonesia.
In his remarks, he paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother for graciously granting royal permission for the championship trophy to bear Her name since 1979 and for Her Majesty’s continuous supports to promote not only women’s golf but also other women’s sports and various aspects of Thai cultural heritage, particularly the Thai silk and national dress (Chud-Thai). On this occasion, the Ambassador invited all participants to observe a moment of silence in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, who passed away on 24 October 2025.
The Ambassador also met with and encouraged the three Thai athletes participating in the tournament (Nong Prim Prachnakorn, Nong Kathi Ngamphan Chanthana, and Nong Jelly Kanyarak Phongphithanont). Those interested may attend the Queen Sirikit Cup competition and support the Thai athletes from 12–15 May 2026 at Sentul Highlands Golf Club free of charge.
