On 2 – 3 May 2026, Ambassador Prapan Disyatat and Mdm. Rutchanee Uerpairojkit, visited Surakarta (Solo), Central Java Province and attended the “Royal Heritage Dinner” at the invitation of His Highness Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Arya Mangkoenagoro X. The said event was organised to commemorate the 269th anniversary of the founding of the Mangkunegaran royal family (Adeging Mangkunegaran). Among the distinguished guests were Mr. Respati Ardi, Mayor of Surakarta, and Ms. Meliza M. Rusli, President Director of Permata Bank.
During the said visit, the Ambassador and his spouse also attended the opening ceremony of the “Mangkunegaran Run 2026” and participated in the 5-kilometer walk/run. The said annual event is part of the Adeging Mangkunegaran, founded in 2023 under the initiative of His Highness K.G.P.A.A. Mangkoenagoro X in collaboration with various partners including local authorities, the private sector and the running community. The event aims to promote historical and cultural tourism and the local economy.
