Royal Thai Embassy in Jakarta Organizes Live Broadcast of the 6th Princess Maha Chakri Award Ceremony

On 15 October 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Jakarta organized a live broadcast of the 6th Princess Maha Chakri Award Ceremony, graciously presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani, Thailand. The event was attended virtually by representatives from the UNESCO Commision in Indonesia, the Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI), heads of Team Thailand agencies, and members of the Thai community in Indonesia.

The Princess Maha Chakri Award is an international award established to recognize outstanding teachers from ASEAN member countries and Timor-Leste, as well as from Bangladesh, Mongolia, and Bhutan, whose work has made a profound impact on students’ lives and the development of education. Since its establishment in 2015, six Indonesian teachers have been recipients of this prestigious award.

This year’s Indonesian awardee is Mrs. Ade Putri Sarwendah, a special education teacher from East Kalimantan Province, recognized for her dedication to empowering students with special needs to learn and live independently.
