On 10 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Prapan Disyatat, Ambassador of Thailand to Indonesia, presided over a merit-making ceremony at Buddha Metta Temple in Jakarta on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and Mother’s Day on 12 August 2026. The ceremony was attended by 26 participants, including the Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Thailand to ASEAN, heads of offices under Team Thailand, officials and staff of the Embassy and Team Thailand, as well as the Thai community in Indonesia. The ceremony comprised the offering of monks’ robes, Sanghadana, and alms food to Buddhist monks and a 93-second meditation session in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother’s benevolence and devotion.
