During 8 – 9 November 2023, Royal Thai Embassy in collaboration with Office of Agricultural Affairs and Office of Commercial Affairs took part in the 54th Annual Charity Bazaar to sell a variety of Thai merchandise, including high-quality shawls, elephant pants, longans, tamarinds, and rice at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). After the opening ceremony on 8 November 2023, Mrs. Iriana Widodo, spouse of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, visited the Embassy’s stall and was welcomed with a gift basket of Thai fruits and traditional sweets from Ambassador Prapan Disyatat and Madam Rutchanee Uerpairojkit. She also kindly supported the Embassy’s stall by purchasing some of the Thai products. The Embassy’s stall successfully received considerable attention from many Indonesian shoppers as well as the media such as Garvita TV which interviewed Madam Uerpairojkit about Thai merchandise and tasted Thai fruits. The Embassy annually participates at WIC’s Bazaar with the aim to raise fund to support WIC’s missions in helping society such as arranging social welfare activities for orphanages and senior homes.
