On Friday 1 March 2024, Ambassador Prapan Disyatat, together with his spouse and the Embassy’s officials, hosted a dinner for the Thai Community in Surabaya at Chao Phraya Thai Fine Cuisine Restaurant. The event gathered approximately 40 participants, including Mrs. Onny Asri Miryam, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Surabaya. It aimed to strengthen ties between the Embassy and the Thai Community, fostering the exchange of information on living conditions and promoting Embassy’s activities, including a mobile consular service in Surabaya.
At this event, Ambassador Prapan Disyatat also presented Ms. Naruemol Suwan with a special brooch, a certificate, and the “2023 Volunteer Consul” vest as tokens of appreciation for her ongoing dedication in assisting the Embassy on consular missions, including coordination and
providing support for Thai nationals in Surabaya.
The Volunteer Consul Award, initiated by the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, recognizes the contributions of Thai individuals to the consular work of Thai Embassies and General Consulates around the world.
