Evacuation Drill at the Embassy

On 6 October 2021, the Royal Thai Embassy, in association with SCG Indonesia, hosted the Emergency Evacuation Drill for Thai Nationals in Indonesia in a hybrid format, with approximately 60 participants from Team Thailand, SCG, Thai Business Club Indonesia (TBCI), Thai Women’s Association in Indonesia (TWA) attending in person at the Embassy alongside other online participants from both Thailand and Indonesia. 

At the opening, Mrs. Jiraporn Sudanich, Charge’ d’Affaires, a.i., delivered a message on the Embassy’s role and past experiences on emergency evacuations, as well as shared lesson learnt to further enhance the efficiency of the evacuation plan, especially in case of natural disasters and newly emerged diseases, such as COVID-19. The participants have received useful knowledge from International SOS representatives on risk assessment in Indonesia. Mrs. Pathama Sirikul, PT SCG Indonesia President Director, also exchanged views on the SCG’s plans in handling emergency cases from natural disasters. These exchanges were complemented by the information from the 3 Defense Attachés on their missions in aiding the evacuation of Thai Nationals. 

On this occasion, The Embassy had also distributed the information on travel and entry rules to Thailand during the COVID-19 situation. CDA also took the opportunity to welcome the new Executive Board of TBCI at the Embassy.
